I look forward to my Meditation class all week. Pat is a wonderful teacher. We always do something different, but it seems to be exactly what I need.
I’ve tried yoga before, but it was boring and not very effective, so I gave up, figuring yoga was overrated and just not for me. Pat’s class changed my mind completely. From the very first poses, I was hooked, and I realized that Yoga isn’t getting into goofy positions. She helped me understand how the mind and bodywork together and that you don’t always have to break a sweat to get mental clarity and physical strength. She’s a wonderful teacher, guide and inspiration.

Best yoga teacher and class around, incorporates strength training and traditional yoga and meditation. Perfect for the body and mind.
She is a caring teacher, always interested in the individual needs of the students. Her yoga meditation class is wonderful – calming and invigorating at the same time.
I always look forward to my yoga classes with Pat. No two are ever alike and we always have fun at the same time that we are doing serious yoga.
Pat’s classes are like and amazing symphony; they bring together the beauty, the calmness, the caring and the pureness of complete stress relief. Pat, as a teacher, always takes such a personal interest in each client’s special needs and then provides a methodology for each client that allows them to do the yoga work in a way that maximizes their abilities. She is without equal.
I really love the customized feel of Pat’s instructional techniques. She solicits input from her students on what hurts, what body parts they would like to focus on, and alters poses based upon individual circumstances. It’s like having a Personal Trainer in the midst of a class. It’s great.
I love Pat and her classes. She cares about everyone and their needs. Her yoga class is so relaxing and enjoyable.
Through Pat’s yoga instruction this year, I’ve increased my balance, flexibility and strength. Her attention to the individual needs of her students is welcomed and makes everyone feel special.
Pat miraculously manages to provide yoga instruction at the level of personal training, but in a stimulating class environment. She is a warm, motivating and supportive instructor with years of training and experience to offer students at all levels of practice. I always manage to go a bit further than I expected due to her encouragement and support. Even so, the class atmosphere is relaxing and non-competitive. I feel safe trying new things. She makes a yoga exercise class fun to attend.
I am kind of shy and don’t like being “ the new person” in a group. After I moved to Atlanta, I procrastinated for about 6 months before enrolling in Pat’s class. She instantly made me feel welcome and so did the other students. I was completely unfamiliar with the Desikachar method, and enjoyed more strenuous physically oriented yoga programs in the past. I didn’t think I was going to like the program because I thought it would be “ too gentle”, but I liked Pat and my fellow students so I stuck with the class and I am so glad I did. Everyone has their own reason for being attracted to yoga, for me it’s all about calming down and getting focused. Pat keeps it real, and I have made a lot of progress since I started taking her classes.

Pat’s class is a perfect combination of knowledgeable strength training and yogic relaxation.
I have found Pat’s classes to be relaxing as well as helping greatly with my general strength and balance.
The class is both relaxing and energizing at the same time.
I was introduced to Yoga through Pat several years ago when I was recovering from a very serious medical mishap. Two major surgeries, a month in the hospital and the complete disruption of my life brought trauma to my mind and body, as I had never known. Pat’s professional caring individualized method of teaching was a huge part of my recovery and I’ll be eternally grateful.
Flexibility, peacefulness and sleeping like a baby afterward, what more could you ask for?
I started taking yoga class four years ago because a friend loved it and went to class faithfully. Two years ago during a tennis game, I fell and tore an ACL; the physical therapy was for the knee only, and I realized that my body was longing for the mind/body experience. As soon as I could physically get back to yoga, I went. For me, yoga attunes and heals my body and spirit; it’s a respite from my busy world of family and work; it’s a way to alleviate the stress of my life, and it helps me sleep better. Yoga with Pat is one of the gifts I give myself each week.
Pat is the perfect yoga instructor for people who “need” yoga. If you are 17 and can twist yourself into a pretzel already, you don’t need yoga. However, if you’ve got some sore joints and could use a little more flexibility, strength and well being, Pat is your yoga teacher. She is knowledgeable in the history, philosophy and technique of yoga, but is most skilled at tailoring her lessons to the needs of her class members. Just the sound of her sweet Mississippi accent will put you in a state of Nirvana.
